I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Kämmererite is worked with as a stone of quiet visionary work, held for meditation, gentle divination and the closing of overactive third eyes at the end of a long day. It is said to soften psychic input into something the carrier can actually digest.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Kämmererite is the chromium-rich variety of clinochlore, a member of the chlorite group of sheet silicates. Chromium substitution for aluminium in the octahedral layer produces its distinctive violet to raspberry colour. It occurs in serpentinites and chromite-bearing ultramafic rocks; the Kop Krom chromium mine in eastern Turkey has produced the finest gemmy crystals. Because it is very soft and cleavable, it is a display specimen rather than a wearable stone.
