What the lattice actually does.
Peach moonstone is a variety of orthoclase feldspar (KAlSi₃O₈) containing fine exsolution lamellae of albite. These alternating layers scatter light to produce adularescence, a billowy sheen. The warm peach tint comes from trace iron and structural defects.
