I. The Metaphysical Reading

How the stone has been held.

Native Copper is worked with as a stone of embodied circulation, kept nearby during physical therapy, blood-warming practices and the pairing of other stones whose energy is said to travel more easily along a metal bridge. Practitioners hold it as a reminder that the body is also a wire.

II. The Scientific Reading

What the lattice actually does.

Native Copper is one of the few metals to occur naturally in metallic form, most famously in the basalt flows of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula, where Pleistocene glaciation exposed dendritic and massive masses of nearly pure copper. Its high thermal and electrical conductivity make it foundational to modern electronics and plumbing.
