I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Covellite is worked with as a stone of intuitive review, kept nearby during dream journalling, memory work and the honest inventory that follows a long relationship. Practitioners hold it as a reminder that the mirror is kinder when the light is soft.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Covellite is a copper sulfide that forms as a secondary mineral in the enrichment zones of copper deposits. Its brilliant indigo colour and iridescent purple-bronze tarnish are diagnostic. It is soft and easily scratched, so cabochons and specimens should be stored separately from harder stones.
