I. The Metaphysical Reading

How the stone has been held.

Pietersite is known as the 'tempest stone,' used to strengthen willpower, spark transformation, and navigate inner storms. Its chatoyant swirls are believed to hold the energy of rapid change and personal revelation.

II. The Scientific Reading

What the lattice actually does.

Pietersite is a brecciated aggregate of hawk's-eye and tiger's-eye: quartz has replaced parallel amphibole (riebeckite) fibres. The fibres create chatoyancy, while brecciation breaks and re-cements the material into turbulent patterns.
