I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Banded honey calcite is carried as a warming stone for the solar plexus, worked with when confidence has been drained slowly rather than in a single event. Practitioners associate its layered growth with the patient reconstruction of self-worth and creative appetite.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Banded honey calcite is a rhombohedral calcium carbonate coloured amber by trace iron and organic compounds, laid down in slow-moving groundwater within limestone cavities. Its bands reflect successive precipitation events, in the same manner as banded agate but through the calcite rather than silica pathway. The best-known material now comes from the salt range of Pakistan and from Mexican skarn deposits.
