I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Fulgurite is worked with as a stone of sudden clarity, kept nearby during breakthrough work, prayer for direction and the moments after a decision has already been made. Practitioners hold it as a reminder that some transformations arrive in a single strike rather than a long season.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Fulgurite is a naturally occurring glass produced when cloud-to-ground lightning discharges into quartz-rich sand or soil, momentarily reaching temperatures above 1,800 °C and fusing the grains into a hollow, branching tube of lechatelierite (amorphous silica). Each specimen is a direct fossil record of a single lightning strike; the Sahara and coastal Florida are among the most productive natural laboratories.
