I. The Metaphysical Reading

How the stone has been held.

Malacolla is worked with as a stone of gentle communication, emotional truth, and heart-throat alignment. The pairing of malachite's insight with chrysocolla's calm is said to help speak difficult feelings with steadiness rather than heat.

II. The Scientific Reading

What the lattice actually does.

Malacolla is the trade name for a natural intergrowth of malachite and chrysocolla, both secondary copper minerals formed in the oxidized zones of copper deposits. The two species coexist as banded or mottled masses whose colors range from deep green to turquoise-blue.
