Moroccan Agate

I. The Metaphysical Reading

How the stone has been held.

Moroccan agate is worked with as a stone of soft steadiness and clear speech. Its calm banded palette is said to help settle scattered thoughts and to bring measured words to conversations that matter.

II. The Scientific Reading

What the lattice actually does.

Moroccan agates are banded chalcedonies formed in the gas cavities of Paleozoic and Mesozoic volcanic and sedimentary rocks across the Anti-Atlas and adjacent regions. Fine layered deposition of silica, tinted by iron and clay-rich waters, produces the characteristic pale blue-grey and sand bands.
