I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Nuummite is called the sorcerer's stone and is held as one of the older stones of shadow work, protection and self-mastery. Its inner iridescence is said to light the way through inner darkness rather than dispelling it.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Nuummite is a metamorphic rock made of intergrown anthophyllite and gedrite amphibole crystals that produce striking play-of-colour by light interference. It comes from the Nuuk region of Greenland and dates to around three billion years old, among the oldest rocks used as a gem material.
