I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Long carried as a stone of steady nerves and expanded awareness. Traditional practice associates actinolite with the strengthening of the aura and with the composure required to hold difficult truths without flinching. Its fibrous, radiating habit is read as an outward reach - energy that leans forward without leaving its centre.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Actinolite is an amphibole forming a solid-solution series between magnesian tremolite and iron-rich ferro-actinolite. Colour deepens as Fe²⁺ substitutes for Mg²⁺ in the octahedral sites. In its compact fibrous form it grades into nephrite jade, one of the toughest natural materials known; its asbestiform variety, byssolite, is the same species in a wholly different mechanical regime.
