I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Atlantisite is carried as a stone of gentle heart-work and mediumship between the personal and the ancestral. Practitioners associate the green serpentine ground with steady embodiment and the lilac stichtite with the softening required for genuine forgiveness, whether directed outward or inward.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Atlantisite is a trade name for a naturally occurring rock in which lilac stichtite (a chromium-magnesium hydroxycarbonate) has formed within a green serpentine matrix through the low-temperature alteration of chromium-rich ultramafic rocks. The Tasmanian type locality, Stichtite Hill in the Dundas district, remains the classical source. The two minerals grew together from the same hydrothermal system that carried both magnesium and chromium into the fractures.
