I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Considered a stone of transition and intuition - traditionally carried during periods of change or creative incubation. Its flash is read as evidence of an inner light waiting for the right angle of attention.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
The characteristic 'labradorescence' is a lamellar optical effect: thin alternating layers of high- and low-calcium feldspar (Bøggild intergrowth) diffract light in the 400–560 nm range, producing the metallic peacock sheen. It is a structural color, not a pigment - turn the stone, and the flash vanishes.
