I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Fairy Quartz is worked with as a stone of gentle company, kept nearby during dreamwork, altar-tending and any practice that asks the small and the many to matter as much as the singular. Practitioners hold it as a reminder that a community of tiny points can carry a room.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Fairy quartz — sometimes called drusy or spirit quartz in its pale form — is a stalactitic quartz whose central column has been coated in a dense layer of secondary micro-crystals during a later phase of hydrothermal growth. The Magaliesberg region of South Africa is the classical source and also produces the amethyst-tinged spirit quartz that fairy quartz is closely related to.
