Larvikite is a distinctive igneous rock from the Larvik batholith in Norway. Its blue-silver schiller, known as labradorescence, arises from microscopic exsolution lamellae in the anorthoclase feldspar crystals. It is widely used as a dimension stone and is the national rock of Norway.
