I. The Metaphysical Reading
How the stone has been held.
Prehnite is long associated with intuition that can be trusted — often called a stone of quiet foresight. It is kept for decluttering, both of rooms and of obligations, and for practitioners who want their inner guidance to feel calm rather than urgent.

II. The Scientific Reading
What the lattice actually does.
Prehnite is a calcium aluminium phyllosilicate that crystallises in the orthorhombic system, usually as botryoidal or reniform aggregates of tabular crystals lining basalt cavities. It is the index mineral of the prehnite–pumpellyite metamorphic facies, marking very low-grade metamorphism between diagenesis and greenschist conditions. Green colour is attributed to Fe³⁺ substituting for aluminium; specimens frequently host acicular epidote inclusions.
